SHOOT LIKE PHOTOGRAPHER : JIM DUELL

Welcome to my online portfolio.

I have been doing photography since 1971 with a Kodak 30 Instamatic 110mm color film camera as my starter camera. Just joining in April of the same year the Perry Fire Department and I started taking pictures at all of the alarms and functions that I attended. Now looking back 35 years of photography and having many albums of  photography averaging 2500 to 5000 pictures each year along with now doing Fair's & Festivals each weekend from Memorial Day to the end of September that I am turning into digital for CD's and also have broadened my picture taking with several new pieces of Minolta equiptment from a 35mm Minolta XG-7 camera and adding various pieces of Minolta equiptment such as a XG-A, X-700, Maxxum 5, 2 - Auto Focus 5xi bodies and 6 - Auto Focus Lenses, Minolta Creative Expansion Cards for 5xi Camera, Lens Filters, Telephoto Lenses, A Spiratone 400 - 800mm Telephoto Lens, Minolta, Sun, & Vivitar Auto Flashes, Darkroom Equiptment for Processing Black & White Negatives & Prints, Gateway Computer with HP P1100 Printer & HP 4200 Scanner, HP P245 4X6 Photo Printer, 2 - Kodak Digital Camera's. In 2005 I just purchased a new Konica Minolta 7D Maxxum Digital SLR Body with a 28 to 100mm AF Lens, A DiMage Viewer Program for computer. Will soon need a bigger hard drive to store much bigger size digitals from my 7D. Heading into the summer months of 2005 I plan on beating my 5000 picture count per year to twice the amount. Depending on the weather. I have been taking a lot of Sunset pictures within the past year so, I will be displaying them on a photo page soon. On January 01, 2006 I added up all the photos that I took in 2005 and the total can out to be 7,770 pictures. I didn't even use any of my 35mm camera's at all this year. I really don't know why either. With fifty rolls of new film just waiting to be used, I guess I liked using my new 7D better than changing rolls every 24 exposures. On March 04, 2006 I purchased a new Toshiba A105/S1712 Laptop Computer with XP Home Edition Package. I will be using this on all our weekends away to download and process prints on the spot. This is quite a nice setup for downloading photos into My Pictures at 3008 X 2000 size which makes a nice 8 X 10 print. With 80 Gigs of Hard Drive I should get a lot of photos saves for a few years. Already have a 2006 Fair's & Festivals calendar made out for the summer and fall season.
